Trans Global Logistics has named Dominic Chan senior manager of corporate marketing and product development. Chan is responsible for the company¡¦s ocean transportation program and development. He joins Trans Global¡¦s headquarters team in Hong Kong.
"Dominic¡¦s experience in the global logistics marketplace will serve the transportation needs of our customers," says Donald Woo, CEO of Trans Global Logistics. "He has worked within the liner trade and he has managed large freight forwarding accounts so he is very familiar with needs and requirements of our customers."
Chan has more than 11 years of experience in the business.
He joins Trans Global from Maersk Hong Kong Limited, where he managed key client relationships throughout the greater China region. He handled key accounts, including Panalpina, Expeditors, UTI and Hecny.
Chan worked for P&O Nedlloyd Hong Kong for eight years. He served as senior export account manager for two years, managing a team of sales representatives. From 2000 to 2004, Chan was an export account manager, handling general sales activities, service contracts, allocations and trade policy. Before that, he was P&O Nedlloyd¡¦s area sales manager, coordinating sales activities for Europe and North American trade and Pacific trade.
Chan worked for P&O Containers Ltd. for nearly two years before the company merged with Royal Nedlloyd. He was a sales manager and development executive handling Pacific and Trans-Pacific trade. He also worked for Wice Marine Services in sales and account executive positions. |
